Life in the Distance by GigaBeast Life in the Distance by GigaBeast
Well folks this is my first Terragen render! I am really proud of it even if it is super newby. I added my newest planet in it also.
Thanks to :Alyn: for his wonderful planet tutorial and all the great terragen tutorial writers here on DA.

The terrain took me about 10 minutes to make, and the planet took about 45 minutes. Those white spots are supposed to be city lights. I have figured out a cool new way how to make them, please tell me if anyone wants a tutorial ;)

A :+fav: is would be very appreciated!

Cheers,
GB

Thats pretty amazing!

Definately a better render than me. Im also a space artist, and ive been trying to do something like this for a VERY long time, I just cant seem to get my renders to look right. Mainly the atmosphere as you can kinda see on your own, if you look next to your planet you can see them in the background.

Except mine are always way worse, so I try to do my renders atmosphere straight in photoshop and I walways FAIL... but im trying something new right now actually.

Very cool for a first Terragen render, the landscape and lighting works really well with the planet. Really minor gripe is that the planet is a little obscured by the blur in front. Great stuff.

This look very cool! almost fingerlicking :P. I suggest keep the light cause they add some sence of realism to it. in general this is a very nice work of art, not as chaotic and over-colored as some people do it. you got the picture in how to make it look calm and clean! yep would have this as a wallpaper anytime!
