ExterminatioN for Exotica by GigaBeast ExterminatioN for Exotica by GigaBeast
Hi guys!

My Submission. I deleted the previous duplicate of this deviation because I realized that after I have submited it to the Exotica contest that I had two of the same ones.

This is a very Sci-Fi type scenerio. I really like how the flaming asteriods turned out and of course the nebula. Everything is made using PhotoShop from scratch except the buildings on the right hand side which I cut out of some photo I found and the terrain which I used Terragen for. I am really happy with the outcome of my work and I hope all of you do to :)

I would really like some advanced critisism on this one please. Any other comments and favs are also very appreciated ;)

Cheers,
Markian

thanks, but what do you mean by washed out?

when you look at the transition between the sky and space theres a haze that seems to cover the planet and the stars... it looks a bit thick to me and doesnt let the colours stand out as well as they could...

i think i need assistance with the fire collision as a whole. see i made that planet with a big hole inside. the pic seemed too poor so i decided to add a comet collision very close to yours above. so basically any help is appreciated :)

Oh wow! this is so awsome! The effects are amazing! The rocks colliding with the planet looks so real! The only thing is that I think the composition looks a bit top-heavy. The bright nebula and that star at the top there seems to take away the focus from the rest of the picture. Great job, once again!

the planet is green because it has forests just like ours... you can live on it. that is why it also has the city lights ;) thanks for the comment!

thanks for your comments very much... in my spare time I will try to upload a version with the light source slightly changed to the right, or just turn the planet a bit. Are there any recomendations you could make for the colors? Like maybe you would like to see more of a certain color in certain places... About the nebulae: I am still learning and I am not that good yet. Yeah, maybe I would be able to do it if I really tried, but it would take much more time....

Altogether thanks for your constructive critisism, I really appreciated it.

It looks really good, but I have a few comments.
:bulletpurple: If the asteroid was almost impacting the planet, and it was burning, wouldn't that be the main light source? Change the lighting on the planet.
:bulletpurple: The colors aren't as coherent, but that doesn't matter as much, and you pulled it off very well.
:bulletpurple: The nebula is a bit small. If you made it a little bigger, but with the same detail, it would look a little better.

oh, and I just thought about it and I think if I did make the nebulae it would drag to much attention from the explosion...

Beautiful, I know nothing about animation or anything of the sort so my critique would probably suck, but I love it.
